Children aged 6 to 12 are now able to ride conventional and handyDART buses for free, unaccompanied and without requiring a fare product or identification.
Children aged 5 and under must be accompanied by someone 12 years or older to ride the bus, and must board and depart at the same stop as their guardian.
The Family Travel Program allows an adult customer, 19 or older, to bring up to two children (between age 13 and 14 years) on board for free. Children must get on and off at the same stop as the pass-carrying customer. The program is available to parents and guardians who are 19 years and over with a valid 30-Day Pass, DayPASS, or BC Bus Pass. This program does not apply to cash fares and tickets. Not valid on Commuter Routes.
