This document provides an overview of the service changes for the Victoria Regional Transit System beginning on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025
Upcoming changes and improvements
- Service levels across multiple post-secondary serving routes will be increased for the school season.
- Trips across various routes meeting K-12 school times reintroduced for the school season.
- Routes 32, 70 and 71 in the northbound direction will be back to their original routing through Carey and Ravine way, utilizing the new and improved transit infrastructure.
- Routes 17 and 76 will be reintroduced for the school season.
- Seasonal reduction of service on routes 70 and 75 to reflect lower seasonal demand.
- Minor trip time changes on various routes across the region to ensure service reliability.
Holiday 2025 – Service Change Highlights
Effective December 8, 2025
In December, service will be reduced on the following routes to better align with the lower ridership demand from Post-Secondary Education institutions:
- 4 UVic/Downtown
- 7 UVic/Downtown
- 9 Royal Oak/UVic
- 12 University Heights/UVic
- 14 UVic/Vic General
- 21 Interurban/Downtown
- 26 Dockyard/UVic
- 39 Westhills/UVic
- 51 Langford/UVic
- 52 Colwood Exch/Bear Mtn (Royal Roads University service only)
Service reductions in December allow us to provide additional service in seasons with higher ridership demand.
