How Fares Work

In this section, you will discover how to use cash fare and passes, transfers, and how to become a vendor.

Family Travel Program

Parents/guardians, 19 years or over and owner of a valid monthly pass, DayPASS, ProPASS, or BC Bus Pass can bring up to two children (14 years or under) on board for free.

Cash Fare

Single fare is good for one person to use transit for 60 minutes. Please have the correct fare ready before you enter the bus. If you have a bus ticket, have it out and ready.

10 Tickets

Each ticket is good for one person to use transit for 60 minutes. When you purchase a package of 10 tickets, you often receive a discount.

DayPASS

A DayPASS offers a discount for unlimited travel throughout the day.

Monthly Pass

If you need to take transit regularly throughout the month, a Monthly Pass offers a discount for unlimited travel.

ProPASS

PROPASS is a permanent bus pass purchased by employees through payroll deductions. PROPASS is valid for travel throughout the RDN Transit System.

handyDART is a transit service that helps those with disabilities reach their destinations.

Semester Pass

The Semester Pass Program provides a four-month pass at discounted rates.

BC Bus Pass

The BC Bus Pass Program offers a reduced cost, annual bus pass for low income seniors and individuals receiving disability assistance from the Province of British Columbia.
