At BC Transit, we want everyone to be able to use public transit, no matter their accessibility needs. We’re always looking for your feedback on our Accessibility Plan and invite you to share your ideas to help make transit easier for everyone.

You can share feedback by:

Email: bctransitaccessibility@bctransit.com

Mail: 520 Gorge Rd East, Victoria, BC, V8W 9T5

Our Accessibility Committee reviews feedback every few months and works with our experts to find ways to improve. We’ll include new ideas where possible, update our plan when needed, and share changes once they’re approved each year by our senior leadership team.

Accessible Stops

The accessible features on a bus can only be safely used at designated bus stops. These stops are identified by a white and blue decal featuring the International Symbol of Access. Customers using wheelchairs and scooters may board and exit from the bus only at accessible bus stops. To check if a stop is accessible, call your local transit office.

Bus Stop Obstruction

If your bus stop is obstructed, please move to the next accessible stop for loading. Please note that your driver may need to drop you at an alternate location if a bus stop is deemed unsafe.

Courtesy Seating

Courtesy seating is located at the front of the bus and is meant to support riders who need extra space or accessibility. While everyone boards on a first-come basis, please offer these seats to riders who need them most, such as:

  • Riders using wheelchairs, scooters, or other mobility aids
  • Riders with a disability or mobility challenge
  • Riders with a stroller
