EcoPASS Fare Program
The BC Transit EcoPASS fare program allows for the bulk purchase of transit access through an established transit fund. The EcoPASS program is predominantly used by developers as a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program that provides developers with a potential transit-oriented solution for parking variance requests. Other applications of the program include transit funds for conferences, employers, or events.
With the EcoPASS program, once a pre-determined amount is invested and a transit fund is established, eligible participants (ie. occupants of a development) are granted transit access via Umo benefit codes which can be redeemed easily by participants.
Participants enrolled in the program will have unlimited access to the transit fund, receiving either a Single Ride or DayPASS in real time when they board the bus, until the fund is extinguished. With the EcoPASS program, every dollar invested in the transit fund will be redeemed through tangible transit usage by participants.
The program provides a discount based on the number of rides and overall financial investment, which can be provided upon request.
