New OnDemand transit service starting soon
BC Transit customers in Powell River will soon enjoy the flexibility of a new OnDemand transit service, where riders can request a pickup and travel directly to local destinations such as the shops and restaurants along Marine Drive, Powell River Airport, Westview Ferry Terminal, qathet General Hospital, the Saturday Farmers’ Market, Willingdon Beach Park, and the Town Centre Transit Exchange where they can easily connect to every route in the transit network.
BC Transit is bringing tap-to-pay to Whistler and Pemberton
BC Transit is making it easier for people to ride fixed-route buses in the Whistler Transit System and the Pemberton Valley Transit System. Starting February 24, riders will have the option to pay their fare with a tap of a debit card, credit card or mobile wallet.

North Island College transit exchange complete
BC Transit and the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) are pleased to announce the completion of the North Island College transit exchange. The new exchange is located on College Campus Road, between the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre and the North Island Hospital. Construction is now substantially complete and the exchange will be open for use starting Monday January 12.
