Smithers transit system returning to full service levels
BC Transit and the City of Smithers are happy to announce the return to full service levels, effective August 26, 2024.
Temporary service reduction in Smithers
Due to a shortage in drivers, BC Transit and our operating partner will be temporarily reducing service in the Smithers Regional Transit System. This service reduction will be in effect from June 3 through June 14, 2024. This change may impact commuters travelling to and from Telkwa as there are reductions being made to the morning and afternoon peak trips.
NextRide Real-Time Bus Location Technology Now Available
Transit riders in the Bulkley-Nechako, Hazeltons and Smithers Transit Systems are now able to use smart mobile devices and desktop services to see the real-time location of their bus along its route and its predicted arrival time at an identified stop.
