Transit System: Central Fraser Valley, Kamloops, Kitimat, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Revelstoke, Smithers, South Okanagan-Similkameen, Squamish, Sunshine Coast, Victoria, Whistler
BC Transit and its government partners will be offering special service for New Year’s Eve in regions across the province, on December 31, 2024.
Central Fraser Valley – There will be extended regular service on New Year’s Eve. Buses will be free after 6 p.m. To view the full schedule, click here.
Kamloops – Regular weekday service on New Year’s Eve with extended late-night service. Buses will be free starting at 6 p.m. The full schedule is available here.
Kitimat – Buses will be free after 7 p.m and there will be extended late-night service until 5 a.m. on routes 1, 2 and 3. To view the full schedule, click here.
Nanaimo – Service will be extended, with free service starting at 6 p.m. For the full late-night schedule, click here.
Penticton – Extra transit service will be available on New Year’s Eve including a special shuttle. Starting at 7 p.m., all services will be free. For the full shuttle schedule, click here.
Prince George – Service will be free, starting at 7 p.m. There will be extended service until 3 a.m. for routes 1, 10, 15,16, 46, 88, 89, and 91. The full schedule is available here.
Prince Rupert – Free service will be available from 5 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. For the full schedule, click here.
Port Alberni – There will be extended late-night service offered on New Year’s Eve with free service after 7:30 p.m. The schedule is available here.
Revelstoke – Route 5 Resort Shuttle will provide late-night service and will be free from 6 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.
Smithers – There will be extended late night service until 2 a.m. Buses will be free starting at 8 p.m. For the full schedule, click here.
Squamish – There will be extended weekday service on New Year’s Eve. The buses will be free after 8 p.m. For the full schedule, click here.
Sunshine Coast – Regular weekday service will be in effect for New Year’s Eve. Service will be free after 7 p.m.
Victoria – There will be extended late night service provided in the Victoria Region. Service will be free on both conventional and handyDART service after 6 p.m. Service will run on a Sunday schedule on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. For the full schedule, click here.
Whistler – Free transit will be available all-day, compliments of the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Extra buses will be provided as needed.
