Transit Future in Comox Valley
Comox Valley Transit Future Action Plan
In 2014, the Comox Valley Transit Future Plan was completed. Since then, many of the transit service and infrastructure priorities identified in the plan have been completed. This has included projects such as:
-
Frequent Transit Network between Driftwood Mall, downtown Courtenay, North Island College and downtown Comox
-
Realignment of Local Transit Route 3 Comox to compliment the introduction of the Frequent Transit Network
-
Improve structure and frequency to Local Transit Route 2 Cumberland
Now it is important that the region’s transit priorities be updated to continue to guide future decision-making.
In order to update these priorities, BC Transit, the Comox Valley Regional District have started refreshing the 2014 Plan, with an updated Transit Future Action anticipated in 2020.
