Upcoming Changes to Fare Product Sales

BC Transit launched Umo in the Whistler Transit System in June 2024, introducing the Umo Mobility app, reloadable Umo cards, and new convenient fare products. Since then, the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) has begun to issue new 6-month, 12-month, and high school fare products via the Umo app and Umo cards. With these and other convenient Umo enabled fare products in use, the organizations are ready to support riders complete the transition to Umo enabled fare products.

BC Transit and the RMOW are now encouraging riders to switch to a Umo fare product today to beat the winter rush. Whistler Transit System customers using a non-Umo enabled 6-month or 12-month pass expiring in 2025 can visit the Whistler Municipal Hall Customer Service desk to upgrade it to a reloadable Umo card.

Legacy pass and ticket fare products will soon cease to be sold in the Whistler Transit System but will continue to be accepted aboard the bus until used up. Cash and the Province of British Columbia’s BC Bus Pass will continue to be accepted.
