Transit System: Central Fraser Valley
Central Fraser Valley – Hop on board the BC Transit special shuttle and get ready to take flight at the Abbotsford International Airshow.
This year, the Abbotsford International Airshow will run from Friday, August 9, through Sunday, August 11, and BC Transit and the City of Abbotsford and District of Mission are pleased offer special shuttle service to the event once again.
The Airshow Shuttle will leave from Bourquin Exchange downtown, travel on South Fraser Way to Highstreet Mall, with stops at Old Yale and Clearbrook, and Townline and Old Yale. From Highstreet, it will travel down Mt. Lehman to the Abbotsford Airport without stopping. Drop-off and pick-up will take place on Threshold Drive at the campground.
On Friday, the first shuttle will leave from town at 3:05 p.m., with the last trip leaving the airport at 10:45 p.m. On both Saturday and Sunday, the first shuttle from downtown will leave at 9:35 a.m., and the last trip will leave the airport at 6:05 p.m.
Route 66 Fraser Valley Express (FVX) will connect to the Airshow Shuttle at Highstreet Mall.
Transit users coming from Metro Vancouver can take the FVX from Carvolth Exchange in Langley. To better serve Airshow patrons, the FVX will offer one extra trip to Carvolth Exchange on Friday night, leaving Highstreet at 10:40 p.m., and one extra trip each on Saturday and Sunday morning (leaving Carvolth Exchange at 9:15 a.m.)
