Neighbourhood open houses – Saanich Transit Centre
BC Transit is preparing the site for a future Saanich Transit Centre [operations and maintenance facility] to support the growing needs of our region and the transition to electric buses. This future facility will play a key role in expanding and modernizing transit services across Greater Victoria.
BC Transit held has held several neighbourhood open houses in June 2026 and August 2025 so local residents and business owners could attend to learn more about what’s planned for the BC Transit-owned five-acre property between Glanford Avenue and Commerce Circle.
At the open houses, the project team was pleased to connect with nearby neighbours to share information about the project and collect feedback. These are just the first of many opportunities to connect with the project team and learn more as we plan for demolition and site prep in 2026 and then future development.
