BC Transit’s new electronic fare payment system, Umo (pronounced “you-mo”), is coming to the West Kootenay and Cranbrook regional transit systems. In a few weeks, Umo will be launched introducing contactless payment methods and new fare products that improve the transit experience by allowing riders to pick the best option for their lifestyle and travel habits. Once launched, riders will have the choice of using the Umo Mobility app or a reloadable Umo card as their payment method.
Prior to Umo’s arrival, BC Transit invites riders to learn more about Umo by visiting bctransit.com/umo or attending an in-person engagement event in their community.
