Squamish – BC Transit and the District of Squamish welcome public feedback on proposed changes to transit service in 2018, and on long-term transit expansion priorities. Come to one of the three open houses on Friday, November 24, or provide feedback through an online survey (open until November 30).
The proposed changes include:
-
For April 2018, increased handyDART service to meet growing demand.
-
For June 2018, a South Squamish Parks Service pilot project, which will provide summer service to Shannon Falls, the Sea to Sky Gondola and the Stawamus Chief
-
For September 2018, adjustments to routes 1 Brackendale, 2 Highlands and 4 Tantalus, and the introduction of a new route, 9 Quest. These changes seek to increase weekday service to Quest University, improve reliability and provide additional weekday service along the Core Transit Network.
The Sea to Sky Transit Future Plan provides a vision for improving the Squamish transit network over 25 years. Community feedback will build on this plan by helping to identify service changes and priorities over the next several years.
