QUESNEL – Quesnel is growing – the 2011 census showed 5 percent growth over 2006 – and transit usage has expanded with it. Since BC Transit adopted its current plan in 2013, ridership has jumped by nearly 12 percent, so BC Transit is undertaking a service review update, to help determine the route transit should take in the future.
Beginning June 22, BC Transit and Quesnel Transit will conduct an online survey of bus riders and non-riders. Bus riders will have a chance to say what would make it better; non-riders will be able to say what would get them to take the bus more.
On June 27 and 28, representatives from BC Transit and Quesnel Transit will be on the buses, talking with customers and filling out surveys. The survey asks how, where and why people take the bus, and provides space where people can offer their own comments and suggestions.
The online survey will be available until July 4: please visit www.bctransit.com/quesnel and click on “Transit Future”.
The input gathered here will help determine whether the current plan is on the correct route and what the direction should be for the years to come.
