Summer break is just around the corner and there are many opportunities for youth to take part in events, visit local parks and attractions. BC Transit and its government partners want kids to find what makes their community unique by taking the bus to these activities, as kids 12 and under ride free!
BC Transit’s BusReady program provides information and education to kids about riding the bus.
This summer, BusReady is releasing more resources for young riders to take transit safely and confidently. Kids, parents, and caregivers can access new resources on the BusReady website, bctransit.busready.com.
Resources include:
- Virtual bus tour
First-time and experienced riders can navigate a bus virtually with a BC Transit BusReady virtual bus tour. Riders can view the amenities, safety features, courtesy seating, and more from the comfort of their homes.
- Summer BusReady Quiz
Are young riders ready for a summer bus adventure? Riders can refresh and test their knowledge on how to prepare to explore their community by bus.
- BusReady Trip Planning Checklist
This activity will help youth, adults, and caregivers safely prepare and plan for their summer bus trips.
