WHISTLER – Early Winter transit service is in effect from November 15 to November 26, 2014. The early winter service marks the seasonal return of Route 3 Rainbow/Emerald and Route 4 Free Marketplace Shuttle.
Early Winter for transit customers in the Resort Municipality of Whistler also includes extra buses and added runs on Routes 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7.
Full Winter service runs from November 27, 2014 until April 19, 2015. The winter peak service will see more frequent coverage to Emerald Estates, Spring Creek and Function Junction. There will also be extended service hours on Route 4 Marketplace Shuttle.
Throughout the Full Winter schedule, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays there will be added runs on Route 1 Valley Connector, Route 2 Whistler Creek/Cheakamus and the Free Village Shuttles on Routes 4 and 5 to help with increased visitor demand.
Also new this winter are extended hours at the Whistler Transit Centre. The office will be staffed seven days a week, including holidays, from November 15, 2014 through April 19, 2015. Winter office hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Customers will benefit from daily response by phone at 604.932.4020, by email and Lost and Found inquiries, plus @WhistlerTransit on Twitter will be active seven days a week.
