Whistler transit ramps-up service with extra trips for early winter

WHISTLER – Starting Saturday, November 18, the Whistler Transit System will be offering extra service for early winter on all routes, resuming seasonal service on routes 3 Rainbow/Emerald and 4 Marketplace Shuttle, and extending customer service hours for the winter period.

Early winter service runs from Saturday, November 18 through Tuesday, December 12, bringing additional trips to all local routes. This includes increased service between Whistler Creekside and Whistler Village.

Passengers using the 5 Upper Village/Benchlands Shuttle will also benefit from additional service between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

For the first time this year during early winter, the Whistler Transit System will also offer additional service on weekends, including American Thanksgiving long weekend (November 23 to 26). This additional weekend and holiday service will be focused on route 2 Whistler Creek/Cheakamus between Whistler Creekside and Whistler Village, as well as on the village shuttles (routes 4 and 5) during morning and afternoon peak periods.

Full winter service will begin on Wednesday, December 13. Visit bctransit.com/whistler in early December to view the full 2017-2018 full winter schedule.

Early winter and winter customer service hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, including statutory holidays.
