Transit System: Cowichan Valley
COWICHAN VALLEY – BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional
District will provide free handyDART service to qualified, pre-registered participants
in the Walk of Nations.
The 5th annual Walk of Nations will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013. The Walk
celebrates the Cowichan Valley’s rich aboriginal heritage. The first ever
Walk of Nations marked the end of the North American Indigenous Games in 2008.
The yearly tradition has become a symbolic gesture to promote respect, understanding
and compassion among participants and supporters.
In order to take advantage of the free service on Walk day, participants must
call Volunteer Cowichan at 250.748.2133 before May 31, 2013 to confirm their
registration in the event and to book handyDART pick-up and drop-off times.
