Today, the Province of BC announced appointments for the Victoria Regional Transit Commission (VRTC). The new Commission members were appointed by Order In Council, and are as follows:

In addition, continuing member Mayor Maja Tait (Sooke) has been appointed as the Chair of the VRTC, with Mayor Kevin Murdoch (Oak Bay) also remaining on the Commission.

Susan Brice served on the VRTC as a member from 1987-1990 and from 2009-2022, and as the Chair since 2012. She has also been a member of the BC Transit Board of Directors for more than 15 years. Susan has been a tremendous advocate for public transportation and has shown a well-documented commitment to Greater Victoria through her work in public service and involvement with various charities and community organizations. BC Transit thanks Susan for her work.
BC Transit is a Crown Corporation governed by a Board of Directors, which is appointed by the Province according to criteria specified in the British Columbia Transit Act. The Victoria Regional Transit System is governed by the VRTC, which sets routes, service levels, fares and local taxes for transit purposes.
