Erinn Pinkerton, BC Transit’s President and Chief Executive Officer, has been a visionary since the day she stepped foot in the realm of public transportation almost 20 years ago. Her ambition and work ethic have paved the way for her to bring her ideas to fruition. It is a skill she has demonstrated from the time she entered the workforce to where she is now. Her passion and drive has allowed her to rise through the ranks over the years as a manager, director, vice president, and now, president and chief executive officer.

Now, her accomplishments are being recognized beyond just our organization. This year, Mass Transit Magazine has named Erinn to their Top 40 Under 40 list for 2019. The magazine recognizes change makers in the transit industry across North America. BC Transit is very proud of Erinn’s accomplishment, which is not surprising, as she demonstrates her exemplary leadership skills on a daily basis. Erinn began her career in public transportation with BC Ferries in the early 2000s before joining BC Transit. Her vision at BC Transit has been focused on the customer and how we, as an organization, can meet their growing and ever-evolving needs. Erinn’s vision is to push BC Transit to look at more connections and methods to make the customer experience more enjoyable through technology. Her work is also about partnerships, working with all levels of governments to develop and understand the importance of transit priority infrastructure, working to electrify the fleet, and more.

To balance her real life work experience, Erinn has a business degree and masters of business administration. She was born and raised in BC, and continues to make her home province and community proud.
