TERRACE – The City of Terrace and BC Transit are pleased to introduce a series of improvements effective March 30, 2015 that will make transit more efficient and effective.
Among the improvements, the Tuck Avenue Seniors Housing complex will see scheduled weekday service, three trips a day, on the Route #2 City Shuttle. At this time, coverage to the Seniors Housing complex has been on-demand.
Route #2 will also see clock-wise routing on the Canadian Tire loop for safer and easier turns for transit operators. There will be a new bus stop on the south side of Park Street to accommodate the new direction of travel on that section of the route. (The current north side stop will be removed.)
Customers will also note the names of two routes are being truncated. As of March 30, Route #1 College/Halliwell will now be called Route #1 Halliwell. Route #14 Queensway-Gitaus will be renamed Route #14 Queensway.
The Terrace Regional Transit System is funded by the City of Terrace, Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine and BC Transit.
