Tentative agreement reached between Unifor and Whistler Ltd. and Diversified Transportation

SEA-TO-SKY – BC Transit is notifying its riders in the Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton Valley transit systems, that the Unifor Local 114 union operating under Whistler Transit Ltd and Diversified Transportation have reached a tentative agreement.
The agreement is tentative and needs to be ratified by the members, which is expected to occur on Monday, May 30. BC Transit is working with the Operating Company on a safe return to service date and will update riders as soon possible. BC Transit understands the serious impact this job action had on residents and local businesses in the community, and heard customers’ frustrations. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the past few months and are pleased the parties were able to reach this agreement.
