Temporary reduction in service effective August 13 in Prince Rupert Transit System

BC Transit and its local government partners work hard to match service with demand and provide reliable transportation services for customers.

Due to a recent labour challenge, BC Transit is implementing a short-term reduced service schedule to provide more stability for customers in the Prince RupertTransit System.

This adjusted service schedule will see a temporary change in Saturday service from four buses running through the day, down to three buses. The first two morning bus departures for route 53 Crestview and route 51 Seal Cove will leave downtown at 8:25 a.m. The third bus, route 52 Summit will leave downtown at 11:42 a.m.

The last evening buses leaving downtown:

  • 51 Seal Cove at 6:15 p.m.

  • Combo route 52 Summit/55 Fairview Bay/54 Westview at 6:15 p.m.

  • 53 Crestview at 6:15 p.m.

This change will go into effect on Saturday, August 13 until further notice. The organization is working with our operating company, PW Transit, to rectify this issue and will resume full scheduled service as soon as possible.

BC Transit appreciates the patience of customers during this time, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
