Temporary ferry schedule change to impact Sunshine Coast customers

BC Transit and the Sunshine Coast Regional District are informing customers of short-term changes to the BC Ferries schedule that will impact travel connections in the Sunshine Coast Regional Transit System.

Effective January 28, BC Ferries is temporarily altering their schedule for the Langdale-Horseshoe Bay route due to staffing challenges. With the new ferry departure times leaving Horseshoe Bay at 6:35 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. and leaving Langdale at 7:40 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., BC Transit service to and from the Langdale Ferry Terminal will not align for people traveling on those sailings.

As this schedule is expected to only remain in place until February 28, BC Transit is unable to make schedule changes on such short notice for the routes 1 and 90 to match these new travel times. BC Transit’s current schedule, which is available here, will remain in place.

BC Transit apologizes for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause and appreciates the patience of our customers at this time.
