The Beach Bus to Goose Spit Park will see up to four return trips Monday to Friday, with extended service on Saturdays with up to six return trips. This year’s schedule focuses on late afternoon and evening service.
“Taking in the beautiful scenery of Goose Spit Park is even more convenient thanks to the return of the Beach Bus,” said Comox Valley MLA Don McRae. “We’re excited that this option is available to residents and tourists and we encourage everyone to jump on board.”
“Goose Spit is so popular in the summer that traffic getting there, and finding parking once you’re there, can take a lot of the enjoyment out of the experience,” said Bruce Jolliffe, chair of the CVRD’s board of directors. “Taking the bus to the beach is such an easy way to remove driving and parking headaches from the equation all summer long.”
“The return of the Beach Bus provides a popular connection for our customers to their community,” said BC Transit President and CEO Manuel Achadinha. “We encourage everyone to try the bus and see how easy and efficient it is to get around.”
Regular fares apply; $2.00 for adults and $1.75 for seniors/youth.
