Summer Transit Service Improvements Respond to Public Feedback

Kamloops – Heading into the summer, transit users in Kamloops will see service improvements on key routes.

Traditionally, summer coincides with lower ridership and seasonal service reductions. Following input from customers in response to service changes last summer, there will be improved service on the following routes that will benefit commuters and other customers:

  • Additional trips will be added during peak periods on the 1 Tranquille, 3 Westsyde, 7 Aberdeen and 9 Gleneagles.
  • Leaving Lansdowne Exchange at 10 p.m., the 7 Aberdeen will travel via Battle.
  • After 5:45 p.m., service on the 9 Gleneagles will be every half hour, leaving Lansdowne Exchange every 15 minutes after the hour and every 15 minutes before the hour.

Routes serving Thompson Rivers University will see some reductions, responding to seasonal changes in demand.

These service changes take effect June 25. For more information, please call 250-376-1216 or visit bctransit.com/kamloops.
