Prince Rupert – BC Transit and The City of Prince Rupert are getting into the holiday spirit with our Stuff the Bus donation collection, extended shopping hours and free transit service on New Year’s Eve.
Stuff the Bus
Support your community and help Stuff the Bus on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the Safeway Parking lot. BC Transit staff will be on location collecting donations from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
All donations are welcomed – from food, to clothing, to cash. Those who give will receive a free bus ride, with all donations going to the Salvation Army.
Extended Shopping Hours
Transit hours will be extended to a Friday night schedule on December 12 – 17 and 19 – 23 in order to accommodate late-night shoppers and holiday celebrants. The later transit hours are being offered on all conventional routes.
New Year’s Eve
BC Transit wants to ensure you get home safe this New Year’s Eve and is offering free transit service on December 31 from 6:45 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. on local Prince Rupert routes.

BC Transit customers in Prince Rupert should also be aware of the following holiday schedule:
December 24 – Regular Service, No Service after 6:45 p.m.
December 25 – No Service
December 26 – No Service
December 31 – Regular Service and Free Evening Service from 6:45 p.m.
January 1– No Service
