Transit System: Salt Spring Island
SALT SPRING ISLAND – On Saturday, May 4, 2013 service levels in
the Salt Spring Island Transit System will see its annual spring increase.
The spring service will bring added hours which will support both the start
of the tourist season and a change in the ferry schedule.
Later this month, BC Transit customers will note the #1 Ganges Local
will have reverse routing on the hospital loop to accommodate stops and shelters
on Lower Ganges Road.
Funding of the local transit system is cost shared between the Capital Regional
District and BC Transit.
