VERNON – Effective May 4, 2014 BC Transit customers in the City
of Vernon will enjoy longer Sunday service hours and more statutory holiday
coverage. Sunday transit hours on Routes #2 through #7 will run
from 8 am to 7 pm. That’s approximately five extra hours of service on
each route. Customers on the Route #8 Bella Vista will also enjoy longer
Sunday service hours from 9 am to 4 pm.
The City of Vernon is expanding its statutory holiday coverage. At this time,
riders on Routes #1 through #8 have Sunday service levels on Canada
Day and Remembrance Day. Added to that, as of May, 4 2014 customers on Routes
#2 through #8 will benefit from Sunday service levels on Victoria
Day, BC Day, Labour Day and Easter Monday.
