Spring service changes in Victoria

BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are announcing some changes to the local transit system, effective April 15, 2024.

In an effort to improve service reliability, schedule adjustments are being made to the following routes:

  • Route 1 South Oak Bay/Downtown
  • Route 2 James Bay/South Oak Bay
  • Route 3 James Bay/Royal Jubilee
  • Route 5 James Bay/Willows
  • Route 10 James Bay

To reflect an increase in ferry traffic on Fridays and weekends this spring, adjustments and improvements are being made to Route 70 Swartz Bay/Downtown. As well, to reflect an increase in demand from commuters and tourists, service improvements are being made to Route 75 Saanichton/Royal Oak/Downtown on weekdays and weekends.

Route 13 Ten Mile Point/UVic will travel on Arbutus and Finnerty rather than via Sinclair.

After receiving public feedback, some minor adjustments are being made to trip times and service levels on the following West Shore routes:

  • Route 52 Colwood Exch/Bear Mountain
  • Route 57 Thetis Heights/Langford Exch
  • Route 58 Goldstream Meadows/Langford Exch

Routes that serve post-secondary schools will have their service levels reduced to match demand.

We encourage our customers to use the UMO app, Transit App, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey.
