Spring service change for Victoria Regional Transit System

BC Transit is announcing a seasonal service change for the Victoria Regional Transit System, effective April 10, 2023.

There will be several changes and improvements that will impact many riders including the introduction of RapidBus.

Starting April 10, route 95 Langford/Downtown (Blink RapidBus) will replace route 50 Langford/Downtown. Blink RapidBus will help improve service reliability by offering more trips than are currently being offered by the route 50. This is a first step toward introducing our RapidBus network. Full details on the new RapidBus service can be found here.

Other service changes include:

  • Increased trips on route 61 Sooke/Langford/Downtown

  • Route 61 Sooke/Langford/Downtown will only travel direct to and from Victoria during morning and afternoon peak times. Outside of those hours, riders will need to transfer to route 95 Langford/Downtown

  • Service improvements will be made to route 72 Swartz Bay/Downtown

To reflect demand, service levels on routes that serve secondary schools will be reduced.

BC Transit encourages customers to use the Transit App for real-time bus tracking and sign up for email alerts at bctransit.com/Victoria for up to date cancellations or delays.
