WHISTLER – Transit customers will have a great way to spring into
the season, rides in the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) will cost only
$1 on April 2, 2013. The one-day fare reduction is a small token
of thanks to loyal customers who helped ensure another strong season of public
transportation in the RMOW.
Also riders should note, there are changes coming to transit service in the
RMOW in April. Late Winter service runs April 2 to 21 with continued
peak coverage on routes #1 Valley Connector South, #2 Whistler Creek/Cheakamus,
#3 Rainbow Emerald and #4 Marketplace Shuttle.
Regular spring and summer service begins on April 22 and runs until November
15.
BC Transit is encouraging riders to follow our Twitter handle @WhistlerTransit.
On April 22 @WhistlerTransit is hosting Twitter Scavenger Hunt. It’s a
fun way to use social media to get to know your local transit system better.
New Rider’s Guides are available BC Transit buses or at various locations
around the Village. Schedules are posted online at www.bctransit.com/regions/whi
