Special service for New Year’s Eve happening throughout the province

BC Transit and its regional partners are offering special New Year’s Eve service in a number of transit systems across the province.
While each transit system offering varies, BC Transit and its partners want to ensure riders make it safely and comfortably to their destination. See below for a list of New Year’s Eve service taking place on December 31 and January 1.
Central Fraser Valley – BC Transit and the cities of Abbotsford and Mission are offering free service from 6 pm on December 31 through 2:30 am.
Nanaimo – The Regional District of Nanaimo and BC Transit are informing riders service will be free on December 31 from 8pm to 12:30am
Prince George – The City of Prince George and BC Transit are offering free service, starting after 7 pm, with extended service until 3 am on routes 5, 15, 88 and 89.
Prince Rupert – BC Transit and the City of Prince Rupert are offering free evening service after 6 pm on December 31. Service will run until 1 am on routes 51, 52, 53, and 54.
Port Alberni – BC Transit, the City of Port Alberni, and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District are advising riders regular service until 10:25 pm on December 31 is being extended until 1:30 am. Free evening service is being offered from 7:30 pm to 1:30 am.
Sunshine Coast – BC Transit and the Sunshine Coast Regional District are offering free evening service after 7 pm on New Year’s Eve.
Squamish – BC Transit and the District of Squamish are advising riders that Friday service is available on December 31, with free service after 8 pm.
Victoria – BC Transit is offering free service after 6 pm on New Year’s Eve in the Victoria Regional Transit System, following regular late evening service.
Whistler – The Resort Municipality of Whistler’s New Year’s Eve Special service includes free service within Whistler between 6 pm and 3:30 am.
