Service reinstatement in Prince Rupert Transit System

BC Transit and the City of Prince Rupert are happy to announce that customers will see some additional trips on certain local routes, effective February 27, 2023.

Adjustments had been made in the fall to reflect a recent labour challenge, but with recent changes to the number of operators, we are now able to reintroduce four weekday trips on two routes.

The changes are as follows:

  • Route 51 Seal Cove, departing the Downtown Exchange at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

  • Route 53 Crestview, departing the Downtown Exchange at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday to Friday.

BC Transit appreciates the patience of customers during this time and we apologize for any inconveniences these service disruptions may have caused.

BC Transit and its operating company in the Prince Rupert Transit System, PW Transit, are working hard to hire more drivers and are looking for people with strong customer service skills, who enjoy interacting with the public and supporting their community.

If someone is interested in a career with PW Transit, they can get more information here.
