Service Improvements Coming to Transit in Cranbrook

CRANBROOK – The City of Cranbrook and BC Transit are pleased to announce a number of service improvements will be introduced effective June 30, 2014 including more service hours on Friday and Saturday evenings. The changes follow a transit service review that aimed to maximize service investment and optimize operational costs.

The Route #4 Slaterville will see a number of changes: two more weekday trips and two-way service along Slater and Briar. Customers should be aware that inbound routing along the industrial area has been discontinued.

Sunday service changes are also going into effect. Route #5 College Loop will see Sunday service frequency reduced from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. Route #3 Third Avenue Loop and Route #7 7th – 11th Avenue Loop have been combined to form a single route now called Route #20 7th – Third Avenue Loop.
