Transit System: Powell River
POWELL RIVER – BC Transit and the qathet Regional District are announcing a service change in the Powell River Regional Transit System effective June 28, 2021.
BC Transit works hard to match service with demand. This service change will see service added in the transit system to allow riders from Powell River and Lund to make connections to and from the BC Ferries Saltery Bay Terminal.
This service change will include two extended trips a day on route 12 Stillwater, which will connect to the Saltery Bay ferry terminal and align with BC Ferries schedules. The Sunshine Coast Connector, which is privately operated, is available to pick up riders in Earls Cove for the rest of their journey into the Sunshine Coast or onto Metro Vancouver via Langdale.
For more information on the Sunshine Coast Connector schedules, fares, and bookings, please call or visit the Sunshine Coast Connector at www.sunshinecoastconnector.ca or by calling 1-844-613-8222.
In addition, route 14 Lund will be aligned with route 12 Stillwater to allow customers to connect to the ferries from Lund. For current bus schedules, please follow the Summer/Fall schedules available on our website and the Rider’s Guide until October 11, 2021.
As a reminder, face covering are still mandatory on all BC Transit buses.
