Service and routing change implemented in the Sunshine Coast Transit System

SUNSHINE COAST – BC Transit and the Sunshine Coast Regional District are informing customers of a service and route change effective June 14, 2020 in the Sunshine Coast Regional Transit System.

Starting Sunday, June 14, transit users in the Sunshine Coast will find it more convenient to get to the Langdale Ferry Terminal thanks to schedule adjustments to maintain alignment with the latest BC Ferries schedule. Specific route schedules are available at BCTransit.com.

BC Transit works hard with its local government partners to ensure that the safety of our customers and operators remain our top priority.

Due to safety concerns at Flume Road and the Sunshine Coast Highway, the route 1 Sechelt-Gibsons will be rerouted through Robert’s Creek from Beach Avenue to Sunshine Coast Highway via Marlene Road instead of Flume Road. Service on the southbound route 1 Langdale Ferry remains on Flume Road. Bus stops have been moved to better serve the new routing.
