BC Transit and the District of Squamish are announcing the following changes to the transit system, effective September 6, 2022. The fall service change will see route 5 South Parks seasonally discontinued.
Free transit service in the District of Squamish ends on September 5. Fares will however be discounted until the end of 2022 to continue to encourage riders back to transit and recognize the hardship caused by the transit strike.
Student/Senior passes and adult monthly passes are discounted approximately 50% until the end of the year. As well, transit fares paid on the bus from September through December will be discounted 50%. This means fares will be $1 for single rides and day tickets will be $2.
