Whistler — Starting April 1, 2019, transit customers in Whistler can expect regular seasonal services changes in the Whistler Transit System. BC Transit and the Resort Municipality of Whistler work hard to match service with ridership demand, which is why we offer more service in the winter and summer and less in the spring and fall.
Additional Late Winter service will be available from April 1 to 22, 2019, in order to ease the transition during the service change.
The start of the seasonal Spring-Summer-Fall service change will include reductions on the route 10 Valley Express. Route 10 will continue to operate at a reduced schedule to coincide with the seasonal closure of Blackcomb Mountain.
There will also be seasonal discontinuation of the route 4 Marketplace beginning on April 23, 2019, all other routes in the Whistler Transit System will also operate on reduced service levels.
These route service changes are based on feedback from public consultation conducted in June 2018, ongoing customer comments and data collection processes.
For more information on specific route changes, please visit BCTransit.com or pick up a new rider’s guide. You can also use NextRide to see where your bus is in real-time.
