NANAIMO – The Regional District of Nanaimo and BC Transit are getting into the holiday spirit with the return of the Santa Bus and FREE evening service on New Year’s Eve.
The Santa Bus will be in service on December 12 and 13, 2014. Donate a non-perishable food item or cash and all proceeds go to the Salvation Army in Nanaimo and the Society of Organized Services in Parksville.
RDN Transit encourages everyone to make the safe and smart choice to ride transit on New Year’s Eve. Take advantage of free rides on a modified service schedule on December 31 after 8:30 p.m.
Customers should be aware of other holiday schedule changes:
December 24 – regular service until 7:30pm
December 25 – no service
December 26 – Sunday service
December 31 – modified service until 8:30pm, FREE New Year’s Eve modified service after 8:30 pm
January 1 – no service
