Nanaimo –BC Transit and the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) are getting into the holiday spirit with the return of the Santa Bus and free evening service on New Year’s Eve.
Santa Bus
Come and join RDN Transit and Santa as we get into the holiday spirit. The Santa Bus will be in service for school students December 9 and 16, and for all members of the public on December 10 and 17. Donate a non-perishable food item or cash, with proceeds donated to the Salvation Army in Nanaimo and the Society of Organized Services in Parksville.
New Year’s Eve
BC Transit and the RDN want to ensure you get home safe this New Year’s Eve and so we’re offering free transit service from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Holiday Hours
Transit customers in the RDN should also be aware of the following holiday schedule:
December 24 – Regular service until 7:30 p.m.
December 25 – No service
December 26 – Saturday service
December 31 – Extended regular service ([REPLACED EMBEDDED “Document_C” LINK [[Asset Included(Id:1403646775101;Type:Document_C)]])
and Free New Year’s Eve service (8:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.)
January 1– No service
