Santa Bus is comin’ to town!

Nanaimo – A red-nosed creature with six wheels and antlers will be rolling through the Nanaimo region starting next week. The Regional District of Nanaimo and BC Transit are excited to announce that Santa Bus will make its annual appearance, starting at the Nanaimo Lions Christmas Parade on Saturday evening, December 1.

The Santa Bus will make its annual Grand Tour, beginning with the parade, and then bringing Christmas joy to several elementary schools between Tuesday, December 4 and Friday, December 7; and again between Monday, December 10 and Friday, December 14.

The Santa Bus will also be collecting Christmas joy while in regular service, picking up nonperishable food items and cash for the Salvation Army in Nanaimo and the Society of Organized Services in Parksville.

On Saturday, December 8, the Santa Bus will be at Woodgrove Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Ravensong Aquatic Centre from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9 has the Santa Bus at Frank Crane Arena for a visit from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15 is the final scheduled event for the Santa Bus at Oceanside Place for the Winter Wonderland skate from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. To view the full Santa Bus schedule, click here.
