Routing and bus stop changes in Victoria take effect January 2

Victoria – The new year will be kicking off in Victoria with some routing and bus stop changes starting on January 2, 2019 to help speed up commute times.

These changes will primarily take effect around Uptown and are aimed at taking advantage of the transit priority signal at Carey Road and Douglas Street. It will also allow Peninsula oriented routes to better utilize the new bus priority lanes.

Routing and bus stop changes will impact the following routes:

  • 30 Royal Oak / Downtown
  • 31 Royal Oak / Downtown
  • 32 Cordova Bay / Royal Oak
  • 70 Swartz Bay / Downtown
  • 71 Swartz Bay / Downtown
  • 72 Swartz Bay / Downtown
  • 75 Saanichton / Downtown

These new changes will contribute to developing Uptown into a future transit exchange as well as supporting the rapid transit strategy.
