Routes 3 and 70 NCX Service Changes

BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) are announcing spring changes to two routes, effective March 31, 2024.

Route 3 Quamichan southbound to Duncan will no longer travel along Queens Road. The bus will now turn left on James Street from Canada Avenue, resuming its regular routing on James Street east of Alderlea Street. The northbound routing will remain the same.

BC Transit, the CVRD, the Regional District of Nanaimo and Stz’uminus First Nation, are introducing a new bus stop on Route 70 Nanaimo – Cowichan Express (NCX). The new stop is located on Oyster Sto’Lo Road at the Trans-Canada Highway 1 and will serve both Northbound and Southbound directions.

Service levels and scheduled trip times on Route 70 NCX will remain the same.
