BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are providing an update on the Point Ellice Bridge detour.
While the lanes of the bridge reopened to traffic on June 11, 2026, Route 10 James Bay/Royal Jubilee eastbound will continue to be detoured around the construction area until June 19, 2026, when regular routing will be reinstated.
This is due to some additional overnight bridge closures next week which would have an impact on the route.
Bus stops in the area will remain closed until June 19. This includes the following stops:
- Bay Street at Wilson Street
- Bay Street at Turner Street
- Bay Street at Rock Bay Avenue
