BC Transit, the District of Kitimat and Pacific Western Transportation are announcing the return of regular service in the Kitimat Transit System on March 16, 2020.
That transit system saw a temporary service reduction in late January 2020 on all conventional routes and handyDART services. Full service will resume on both services next week.
BC Transit recognizes the impact the temporary service reduction has had on the community. We thank our customers for their patience and support during this time. BC Transit would also like to thank our partners for their commitment to finding a solution.
In addition to the return of regular service, the scheduled handyDART custom expansion for April 1, 2020 will be implemented as planned. Further details on the expansion will be available closer to the date.
