QUESNEL – This September, users of the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) handyDART program will see a zone and fare change.
In addition to a successful referendum last fall in which the communities in the CRD voted to increase funding to the handyDART services, the Cariboo Regional District also requested a change to both the zone boundaries and fare structure for the regional district service.
Zone 1 encompasses the city of Quesnel and the portion of Red Bluff that is serviced by conventional transit, will have fares remain at $3.00 per one-way trip.
Zone 2 is the area outside of Zone 1 and up to approximately 10 km outside of city boundaries and includes Bouchie Lake, Ten Mile Lake, Barlow Creek and Dragon Lake will have a fare of $6.00 per one-way trip.
Zone 3 is all areas outside of both Zone 1 and 2 and up to the CRD’s taxation boundary including Kersley will have a fare of $9.00 per one-way trip.
All individual users of the handyDART system have been contacted and advised of these changes, which will come into effect September 1, 2015.
For more information on these changes, see the fares section or contact customer information at 250-922-1109.
