Today, the Province of BC announced the appointment of Central Saanich Mayor Ryan Windsor to the BC Transit Board of Directors. He will replace Sooke Mayor Maja Tait, who has chosen to step down from her role on the Board.
The appointment of Mayor Windsor, along with the rescindment of Mayor Tait, was made by Order In Council.
BC Transit would like to thank Mayor Tait for her time on the BC Transit Board of Directors.
BC Transit is a Crown Corporation governed by a Board of Directors, which is appointed by the Province according to criteria specified in the British Columbia Transit Act.
