SUNSHINE COAST – Transit customers on the Sunshine Coast can look forward to greater convenience in their traveling.
The Transit Trip Planner is now “live” on the Sunshine Coast Transit website. Here you can type in your trip origin, destination, date and time of your departure or desired arrival, and have your bus routes, connections and timings worked out for you.
The new Trip Planner is in place as transit service changes take effect on the Sunshine Coast. On May 19, 2016, adjustments will occur in order to meet seasonal demand and to align with BC Ferries schedules.
On Sunday, April 24, Sunshine Coast Transit will provide special shuttles to and from Earth Day celebrations in Roberts Creek. The shuttle will operate between Davis Bay and Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons, via the Roberts Creek Store. There will be five trips, with the first leaving Davis Bay at 12:10pm and the last trip leaving Sunnycrest Mall at 5:20 pm.
As of May 1, fares on the Sunshine Coast will be simplified. For all riders, cash fares will be $2.00, DayPASSes will be $5 and a booklet of 10 Tickets will cost $18.00. That represents a reduction in the adult fares and an increase for those who had been paying the discounted rate. The adult Monthly Pass will remain $60, and the discount Monthly Pass rises from $38 to $42.
